best brother or car?

Hello friends! No Christmas card today, instead I’ve got one of the fab new silhouette stamp sets from ClarityCrafts that are being launched tomorrow. They complement the previous ‘just’ stamp sets from earlier in the year, so this one is the ‘wings & wheels silhouette’. These images are perfect for masculine cards (and for women who ride scooters and drive vintage cars as well!) and i went with a bit of heat embossing on this one, picking up the metallic theme from Make My Monday

These are such great images to work with – you don’t have to add much else if you don’t want to! I stamped the vintage car into the centre of a piece of black card and heat embossed it with WOW’s ‘metallic copper’ powder. I fished some copper card out of my stash, cut a mount with one of the ‘lattice’ doodle frame-it panel dies and attached the black card to it.

I stamped and heat embossed ‘brother’ onto the card using the copper powder (should have done that before adding the mount!), then attached the topper to a 6×6 card front that I’d used a square embedder to emboss a frame onto. I finished by heat embossing the sentiment onto a scrap of black card, attached that to a copper mount and added it to the card front. (top tip – the copper card has a white base, so I ran a black Sharpie around the mounts so I didn’t get white edges.)

The images are just perfect for heat embossing – I love the contrast of the back and copper!
