Hello crafty friends. Sadly, I need to replenish my stocks of sympathy cards, so have started with one featuring the ‘SHAC japonica’ stamps from ClarityCrafts using the sketch from Atlantic Hearts.

I decided to rotate the sketch to a vertical orientation and stamped the large border and japonica onto a piece of kraft card. I was wondering what colour to shade the flowers, but in the end went with a white Pergaliner pencil, using a grey Polychromo to add shadow and depth.

I then simply added a narrow white mount and a layer of black card before attaching it to a 6×6 card blank. I finished with a word sticker from the KISS set.

Thanks for dropping in. I hope your weekend’s going well – we’re finally enjoying some more sunshine here in the UK. Long may it last!

Stunning, the white on the Kraft paper is just perfect, it is beautiful but understated as a sympathy card should be, perfect! Thanks for playing along with the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge (AHSC).
