Hello crafty friends. I’ve dropped back into my happy CAS style today, with a card of encouragement for a friend thanks to the ‘SHAC Vases & Foliage’ stamp set from ClarityCrafts. I took the colours from Color Throwdown and based the layout on the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches

I started with one of the small squares of stencil card and stamped the tall vase in ‘chipped sapphire’ Distress Oxide and the short one in ‘pumice stone’. I covered both with the pre-cut masks and added the leaves using black Archival ink. Next was to stamp the basket-weave pattern onto the short vase, again in the ‘pumice stone’ and added the little seed pod spray stamp as well (I masked part of it off with low tack tape and drew a few leaves back in place with a micron pen). Out came my trusty Pergaliner pencils to then shade in the leaves and seed pods.

I used a small square embedder to create a frame on the front of a 5×5 card blank, then ran a black Sharpie around the topper edges before attaching it to the card. I found a suitable word sticker, edged it with the Sharpie and popped it in place to finish.

And that’s it – nice and simple!
