CAS Colours & Sketches 540 – colours

Hello again. I’m busy getting back into the swing of crafting life – today we’ve got the new challenge from CAS Colours and Sketches and as it’s the first one of the month Suzy has given us this gorgeous palette to work with. I decided to use it in the background with ClarityCrafts ‘bubbles’ stencil, topped with the ‘KISS – dream, hope, believe’ stamps

So, taking the ‘bubbles’ stencil, I laid it on a piece of card cut to fit a 5×7 blank and covered the areas I didn’t want to use with low tack tape. I then blended ‘lucky clover’, ‘saltwater taffy’ & ‘picked raspberry’ Distress Oxides through the circles to create my background. I stamped the floral spray in black Archival and added a couple of the butterflies from the ‘Just butterflies & bees’ stamp set.

I left the images without any added colour, so the backgrounddoes the heavy lifting! I simply added the sentiment from the ‘Just butterfleis & bees’ set, then ran a black Sharpie around the card edges and attached it to the 5×7 blank.

Come on over to CAS Colours & Sketches and play with these lovely shades! I’m going to share this card with the challenges at AAA Cards (I took their sketch for my layout), Inspire.Create for their summer theme, and Just Us Girls as they’re looking for stencils to be used.

  1. I love your softly stenciled circles with the simple black outline florals! Very pretty CAS card! Thank you for playing along with us at Just Us Girls!
