Lizzy & rockery

Hello crafty friends! It’s been a busy few days for the ClarityCrafts team, with a number of TV shows over the last couple of days and some fabulous new goodies on offer! Today brings that to a close with the final two shows (the last one is at 12pm) and I thought I’d feature the ‘lizzy & rockery’ stamps from the ‘floral walls’ collection. I’ve taken the palette from Color Hues for this card.

as usual, I started with half a 5×5 card blank and stamped the rockery wall onto it with black Archival ink. I then used the pre-cut mask from the set and stamped the flowers to sit along the top of the wall. Incidentally, you may notice some red ink on gthe right hand side of the mask – this is so that you can line up the stamp to extend it out to the side, with the pattern fitting perfectly. Clever!

Anyway, back to this card – I kept the mask in place on the wall and then ran low tack tape across the top and down each side of the card. I sponged ‘ripe persimmon’ Distress Oxide through a moon mask, then lightly brushed ‘peacock feathers’ across the clouds mask.

It was then out with my trusty Pergaliner pencils to colour in the flowers and leaves, using grey Polychromos for the rockery wall (I kept the colouring a bit rough on this, to gvie the impression of testure on the stones)

I added the sentiment from the set with black Archival, then simply ran a black Sharpie around the edges of the topper and attached it to a 6×6 card blank.

Thanks for dropping in. I’ll be back tomorrow with some more inspiration for you.
