Welcome to my crafty blog and a sneaky peek at some more goodies from Clarity Crafts that have been resized – Barbara will be launching them on Create & Craft TV tomorrow (Friday) at 9am & 1pm. These are some of Barb’s linocut designs and I thought we’d start with the poppies set. I’ve managed to combine a few challenges with this card, picking up the pastels from AAA Colourful and the ‘flower’ themes from Addicted to CAS and Simply Clean & Simple.

I started with one of Clarity’s small squares of stencil card and stamped the ‘one day’ sentiment from Quotes Set 1 in ‘watering can’ Archival. I then added the three poppy images with ‘pebble beach’ Archival. Next was to sponge ‘wilted violet’ and ‘saltwater taffy’ Distress Oxides onto each of the overlay stamps for the poppies and add then to the images. I thought the background looked too bare, so repeat stamped the ‘chatter lines’ from the set using ‘tumbled glass’.

I brushed a little of the ‘tumbled glass’ around the card edges before attaching it to a 6×6 card blank that I’d used a square embedder on to make an indented frame.

I’m so pleased to see these stamps back in a smaller size – I just love Barbara’s linocut designs!
