happiness

Well it’s a beautiful sunny weekend, so I wanted to share a card that captures the summery vibe using the re-released ‘daffodilly’ stamp set from ClarityCrafts. My watercolour background has the middle row of colours from Color Dare‘s tictactoe grid, and the card picks up the themes from Just Us Girls and Inkspirational.

So, here we are with another watercolour background from my stash (I made these on Create & Craft TV back in February – here’s the link to that post). I first stamped the girl on the swing image with Versafine Clair black ink. I then ran masking tape down the sides of the watercoloured area and along the bottom of the stamped image, so that I could extend the foliage along the ground with the top of the tree stamp from the ‘may all your dreams come true’ set. I added a flock of birds, then part of the sentiment from the ‘gone fishing’ set (I just masked off the lower part fo the stamp before inking it).

Once done, I simply trimmed the border down for better proportions and attached the topper to a black 6×6 card blank, which really made the colours pop!

I’m not sure how much longer this little sunny spell will last, so I’m trying to make the most of it with a bit of chill time in the garden!
