Hello crafty friends and welcome to this week’s Christmas card – I’ve got a nice little pile of them building up! I like to get the most value out of my stamps, so it’s always fun to look at how to repurpose them for other occasions! This time, I’ve taken one of the recent ‘floral crescent’ stamps from ClarityCrafts and turned it into a Christmas wreath, thanks to the traditional red, green & gold colours, picking up the sketch from AAA cards and the ‘anything goes’ theme from Peace on Earth Christmas challenge.

I started by stamping the floral crescent outline onto half a 5×5 card blank, using black Archival ink. Rather than use the infill stamp this time, I decided to watercolour the image with ‘festive berries’ and ‘evergreen bough’ Distress Oxides, smooshing the ink on my blending mat and picking it up with a waterbrush.

I wanted touches of gold on it to make it more festive, so used one of the metallic gel pens to colour the centres of the flowers and the little circles in the image. I heat embossed a Christams sentiment into the space, using WOW’s superfile gold metallic powder, then usied a micron pane & a ruler to add a string for the wreath to hang from. A mount of companion paper matched perfectly before the whole piece went onto a 6×6 card blank.

As you say, that is the beauty of Clarity with a bit of imagination your stamps can be applied to any season as you have just done. Easy quick Christmas card, I know who will be getting this one! ________________________________
