happy birthday sentiment

Hello everyone! I finally found a bit of time to play with the latest craft club stamp from ClarityCrafts which arrived just before I went off on my trip to Belgium. It’s a really useful large sentiment stamp that I thought would work with the layout from Freshly Made Sketches and the tones from Color Throwdown.

I started with half a 6×6 card blank, positioned the outer part of the ‘simple circle’ A5 mask onto it and lightly brushed ‘mustard seed’ and ‘mowed lawn’ inks into the aperture. I then stamped the sentiment into the centre of the circle.

I still had the small ‘butterfly wreath’ set out from a couple of weeks ago, so stamped the butterflies onto scrap card, shaded them with pink and green Pergaliner pencils, then fussy cut them and attached them around the sentiment.

I mounted the topper on a layer of green card and attached it to a 7×7 card blank. I finished by adding additional dots around the butterflies to mimic those around the sentiment thanks to the little stamp from the ‘just flowers’ set.

This will be heading over to one of my friends tomorrow (but it’s OK as they don’t follow my blog, so no spoiler!)
