Hello crafty friends and welcome to a long overdue installment in my trips back into Clarity‘s Craft Club – I haven’t shared one of these since the middle of January! Anyway, better late than never – today’s card features the ‘lace flower’ stencil #100. I’ve made another Easter card (two, in fact) with the ‘patterned panels’ stamp set, picking up the colours from Global Design Project; I’m also going to share it with Addicted to Stamps for their ‘any occasion’ theme.

I started by stamping two of the ‘patterned panels’ to form a cross. I masked them off with strips of Clarity’s mask material, then positioned the stencil over the cross and sponged ‘lucky clover’, ‘peacock feathers’ & ‘wilted violet’ Distress Oxides through it, adding the ground by sponging over a torn piece of copy paper.

I wanted to highlight the cross, so ran masking tape along the sides and and sponged the ‘lucky clover’ onto it. I then decided I wasn’t sure about the green cross, so made a second version, swapping the colours round and using the ‘peacock feathers’ on the cross.

I mounted the toppers onto co-ordinating cardstock, and attached them to 6×6 card blanks, finishing with the sentiment from the KISS ‘spring tags & frames’ set.

Always satisfying to get a two-for-one! Which colour option do you prefer?

I think I like the turquoise colour the most, but love both creations. They are pretty and quite unique.

Super clever way to “make” a cross. Love the pretty stencilling on the background.
