Easter bunnies

Hello crafty friends. Easter is getting nearer and a friend asked me to make her some cards featuring bunnies and daffodils – well, that was an easy one thanks to the new Wales framer set and ‘bunnies and moon shadow’ stamps from Clarity Crafts

I took a 5×5 card blank, cut it in half for my topper and ran masking tape around each edge before stamping two of the bunnies with ‘watering can’ Archival ink. The stamp set comes with pre-cut masks, so I covered both bunnies and then added the daffodils (from the Wales framer set) behind them.

I kept the masks on the bunnies so I could add the sky by brushing ‘mustard seed’ Distress Oxide across the clouds mask and ‘mowed lawn’ for the ground. Out then came my trusty Pergaliners and I shaded in the daffs and bunnies.

All I then needed to do was add ‘Happy Easter’ (from the ‘essentials sentiments’ set, mount it on a layer of green card and attach the whole piece to a 6×6 card blank.

As well as making my friend happy, I’ve also managed to incorporate a few challenges in to this card! The colours are from Creative Colour, I picked up the centre row of pastel colours, CAS design & flowers from TicTacToe‘s grid and included the spring & Easter themes from AAA Cards and Stencil Fun

  1. Those bunnies with the flowers peeking from behind them are great. Before I read the blog I was looking at the image and figuring out what you stamped first to get this to look so real. I love it.

  3. How fab is that Spring scene with the adorable bunnies and daffodils. I do love the yellow clouds, they are really cool and appreciate you sharing “how-to-do-it”. Thanks so much for playing along with us at AAA Cards this week.
