CAS Colours & Sketches 532 – colours

Hello there! We’ve got our new challenge over at CAS Colours & Sketches! It’s time for a set of colours and Joanne has given us this lovely palette, which was perfect for ClarityCrafts‘ fab Botanicals two way overlay stamps – I went with the ‘poppy seed heads & honesty’ set for a triptych on my card.

The first step was to use the ‘honesty’ stamp 2 (the infill one) twice with ‘peeled paint’ Distress Oxide. I then stamped the ‘poppy seed head’ stamp 2 once in ‘mermaid lagoon’, and shaded it with a light blue Pergaliner pencil. I cut all three pieces with the third smallest of Clarity’s nested square dies (which was an exact fit) then layered them onto a strip of white card leaving a 0.5cm border. I added a scrap piece of card on the back for a little height and attached it to a UK DL size card.

I finished by simply adding one of the additional phrases from the ‘occasions – happy birthday’ stamp set in ‘peeled paint’.

There’s so many possibilities with these colours, which are perfect for spring days! Check out the inspiration from the design team on the CAS C&S blog and then come and play along with us. I’m heading over to Color Hues to add it to their challenge as well

  1. Beautiful card! The three squares are such a great design, and the colors work beautifully for both challenges. Thanks for joining us at Color Hues!

  2. Those seed head designs are so perfect for this week’s colours Deborah and I love that you went with a three-element design too! Beautifully balanced against the white too – so clean and fresh.
