Hello crafty friends. Here’s another look at the new Abstract Layout 5 die and ‘Just Flowers’ A5 stamp set from ClarityCrafts, this time teamed up with one of the fab designer papers for a landscape background.

I started with a square of Waimea Falls designer paper that I’d cut to fit on a 7×7 card blank. I then cut the die into a smaller square of white stencil card, and placed it over the designer paper so I could make the centre aperture with a pencil. I popped a couple of bits of low tack tape along the pencil marks and then stamped some of the leaves from ‘Just Flowers’ in the corner with ‘library green’ Archival ink, shading the sprays with a Pergaliner pencil. After removing the tape, I attached the die cut to the paper and onto the card blank.

I finished with a sentiment from the stamp set, again in the ‘library green’, and a few birds drawn with a micron pen.

Combining designer papers and die cuts really makes for quick and easy cards (unlike my labour of love with the hydrangea stamp yesterday!)

I really like how you use designer papers as your backgrounds and then add to them. This is so pretty.
