It’s time for our next theme at Sparkles Challenges and this time we’ve got ‘hearts and flowers’ to entice you! I didn’t have to think too hard about going with ‘Jazz’s just because – floral panels’ stamp set with this lovely heart of flowers. It also picks up the ‘all about love’ theme from Inspire.Create and the hearts from Inkspirational, with a rather loose take on the layout from Atlantic Hearts

I cut a piece of the ‘New England Fall’ designer paper and stamped the two parts of the heart in the centre. I then repeat stamped the lower edge of the top stamp to create a frame along the top and bottom of the paper, before shading it all with Pergaliner pencils. You’ll have spotted that some of the bottom part of the heart didn’t stamp perfectly, so I outlined those flowers with a fine micron pen.

I stamped the sentiment from the set across the centre of the heart, then added ‘Mum’ with the gnome alphabet letters. A narrow mount of black card framed it nicely and I attached it to a 7×7 card blank.

So that’s also made a start on my Mother’s Day cards! How are you inspired with our ‘hearts and flowers’ theme? Come on over to Sparkles challenge and share your creations with us.

So much detail to play with here. Love how the flowers spill over the lines and how you colored them.
