soaring high!

Hello crafty friends. Today’s card features another of the images from ClarityCrafts‘ ‘Just wings and wheels’ stamp set – a fab little biplane. I used the ‘pine trees’ mask to create the tree tops, so I’ll be sharing with with the challenges at Just Us Girls and Addicted to Stamps, both of whom are looking for stencils on cards.

So, I started with a square cut from a piece of the Antarctica 5×7 designer card and stamped biplane in black Archival ink. I then used the pine trees mask to add the forest below, starting by sponging ‘cobalt’ Archival through it. I then repositioned the mask and sponged ‘library green’ Archival through it a couple more times.

On to my blue and green Pergaliner and grey Polychromo pencils to colour the plane.

I added a narrow white mount and a layer of Waimea Falls companion paper before attaching it to a 6×6 card blank, finishing with the obvious sentiment from the stamp set.

Thanks for dropping in. Somehow it’s the last weekend of January already – life keeps gathering pace, but as long as I’ve still got time to craft I can live with that!

  2. I love all the dimension you got by changing the color and depth of the trees, Deborah. What a great masculine card with that fabulous biplane. Thanks for sharing it with us at Just Us Girls.
