V for Vogue at Alphabet Challenge

I’ve got more new stamps to share with you today, as ClarityCrafts release their new A5 Gents stamp set. Now our new theme at Alphabet Challenge is V for Vogue (or fashion) chosen by Veronika and I just couldn’t resist this masculine combination for a bit of a different take on it! And it’s my favourite CAS style so I’m also sharing it at Simply Clean & Simple Cards

I simply stamped the top hat, moustache & bow tie images from the set onto one of the small squares of stencil card, adding one of the sentiments underneath. I shaded them with a selection of grey Polychromo pencils, keeping the strokes on the hat running across it to give the sense of the texture of a silk fabric (well, that was the aim!)

Keeping it completely monochrome, I just added a layer of black card and attached it to a 5×5 card blank on which I’d used an embedder to create a frame.

Now you know I love a CAS card – and they don’t come much more CAS than this! Come on over to Alphabet Challenge and share your fashionable creations with us – there’s more inspiration on the blog from my design team-mates to help you get started!

  1. What a wonderful masculine CAS card, and such a fashionable one, too! I love how you created your motif by merely hinting at the presence of a gentleman, using separate images from your stamp set. The added sentiment is a great addition, too – a sincere compliment that can be used for many different occasions. Your monochrome colouring is perfect, and so is the black frame in all the white space that brings your design together.

    Hugs, Veronika
