Hello there, and welcome to another of my cards using the fab new ‘retro bubbles’ stamps from ClarityCrafts (can you tell that I rather like these?!) I’m sharing this creation with AAA Cards, having taken a slightly loose interpretation of their sketch!

So, I started by stamping the large panel of circles along the edge of a square of stencil card using black Archival ink. I picked several co-ordinating watercolour pencils from my box of Pergaliners to shade them in – I used the direct-to-paper watercolour technique, shading around the inside edge of each circle with the pencil, then using a waterbrush to spread the pigment out.

I added the sentiment from the set with black Archival ink, then mounted the topper on a layer of Northern Lights companion paper and attached it to a 6×6 card blank.

I’m loving the graphic style of this new collection of stamps – so much so that I’ve bought the remaining sets that I didn’t get as part of my design team pack! Watch this space for more to come!

That’s a really fun switch on the orientation of the sketch at AAA Cards and I love the retro vibe – what a useful stamp set.
Thanks for playing along with us at AAA Cards (again) and you can enter into the challenge “officially” as Linky working again, thanks for your patience.

Loving all the pretty bubbles. Great choice to use watercolors to help with the variable intensity of color on the bubbles. Nicely done. Thanks for joining us at AAA Cards.
