Hello crafty friends. I’m back on track with working through this year’s Clarity Craft Club stamps, thanks to my friend Jean who’s loaned me the ones I can’t find! Today it’s the ‘thank you hearts’ from April – perfect for adding to the ones I need following all the goodies that Santa brought me 😊 I’ve sat the main stamp on one of Clarity’s backdrop stamps, using the new colours from Color Dare

I started with the smaller of the two heart backdrop stamps, added ‘picked raspberry’ and ‘salvaged patina’ Distress Oxides to it and smoothed them out with my brayer (you can use fairly bright colours with this technique as the brayer softens them). I gave the stamp a light spray of water and then stamped it onto a square of whit4 stencil card. I inked up the larger heart from the club stamps, using ‘peacock feathers’, and stamped it in the centre of the heart background.

I then simply added a mount of Indian Summer companion papers, attached it to a 6×6 card blank and finished with a few Glossies

I might make a few more of these – there’s lots of different colour combinations that I think would work!

What a great way to get the variable and soft colour for the heart. Definitely colour combinations that would work. xx

I love how you stamped the second heart inside the larger heart and I too can see how you could use this for other color combinations… also like the sentiment inside the heart… beautiful card. Thanks for sharing with us at Color Dare.
