Merry Christmas gnome

Hello there! Just over a week to go – how are your Christmas preparations coming on? I feel a bit like I’m in one of those circus acts spinning lots of plates on poles (and some of them are getting a bit wobbly!!) Never mind, it will all be fine when the day arrives. I’ve started on my family cards – this is for one of my sons (it’s OK, he doesn’t read my blog so no risk of spoilers!) I went with one of ‘Barbara’s Gud Gnomes’ from ClarityCrafts, picking up the colours from Creative Colour Challenges, the layout from Atlantic Hearts and white, brown, red & embossing from Festive Friday‘s inspo list (I haven’t featured any food on this card, but there’s always a possibility he’s got some leftover dinner tucked in that fabulous moustache! 🤣)

I stamped the gnome in the centre of a 6×6 card blank, covered him with the pre-cut mask that comes with the stamps, laid Clarity’s mountains mask across the centre of the card and lightly brushed ‘mowed lawn’ Distress Oxide across it. I lifted the mask off and coloured the gnome with Pergaliner pencils (I always blend two tones of each colour so I can get shade on the image)

I then used a square embedder to create a frame around the gnome, picking up AHSC’s sketch, and finished with one of the KISS word stickers that I’d edged with a black Sharpie.

Thanks for dropping in. I’m off to a friend’s for dinner tonight – we’ll be watching the Strictly Come Dancing final (sequins at the ready!)
