R for Reindeer at Alphabet Challenge

Welcome to my crafty blog and our next letter at Alphabet Challenge – we’re now on the letter R and Billie has chosen the very seasonal theme of Reindeer for this one. I opted for the final stamp in ClarityCrafts‘ ‘Twas the night before Christmas’ set – such a great image with Santa and his reindeer crew heading off back to the North Pole at the end of a busy night! I’ve added in additional inspiration from Festive Friday‘s list with animals, jungle (well, lots of trees!) & a supportive sentiment, Time Out and Stencil Fun

The first part was to create the sky and treeline with Clarity’s clouds and pine forest masks. I brushed ‘stormy sky’ Distress Oxide across the clouds mask, followed by ‘rustic wilderness’ across the trees, repositioning the mask twice to create the forest.

I then simply stamped the image into the sky with black Archival ink, added a black mount and attached the whole piece to a 6×6 card blank.
