Welcome crafty friends! Today’s card features a happy little gnome, who’s busy practising his lines for Christmas (I promise you he’s smiling under all that hair!) One of the things I love about ClarityCrafts is they way they easily mix and match – I’ve teamed him up the tree from ‘Linda’s Deep in the Forest’ stamps and one of the ‘build-a-scene’ masks (from the Black Forest set), using the layout from Freshly Made Sketches and the colours from Color Throwdown

I started with one of the small squares of Clarity’s stencil card and stamped the ‘letterbox gnome’ onto it using ‘watering can’ Archival ink. I covered him with the pre-cut mask and then stamped the tree, so he was stood in front of it. I’d cut a tree mask from Clarity’s mask material when I last used the ‘deep in the forest’ set, so covered the tree. I took the treeline mask from the ‘Black Forest’ page in the ‘build-a-scene’, laid it across the card and brushed ‘rustic wilderness’ Distress Oxide across it. After removing all the masks, I coloured the tree and the gnome with Pergaliner pencils.

I added one of the mini sentiments from the gnomes collection, then mounted the topper onto a layer of green card and attached it to a 6×6 card blank. I felt the tree needed a little sparkle, so added some Stickles glitter glue baubles as the final touch.

Thanks for dropping in. We keep edging closer to Christmas, so you can expect to see more festive cards over the coming days!
