Remember

Hello crafty friends. We’ve got another new challenge for you at CAS Colours & Sketches and as it’s the first Tuesday of the month it’s a colour palette. I thought it was perfect for ClarityCrafts ‘poppy wreath’, especially as it’s Remembrance Sunday this coming weekend, which also picks up Festive Friday‘s theme with red, black & poppy from their inspo list. I’ve also taken a loose interpretation of the sketch at Just Add Ink – I felt the twiggy wreath picked up the larger square and the poppies reflected the smaller one.

I stamped the poppy wreath onto a square of card using black Archival ink, then shaded the poppies & leaves using red & green Pergaliner pencils, with a brown one for the wreath.

I decided a sky would work for the background, so blended ‘stormy sky’ Distress Oxide across Clarity’s clouds mask, then stamped the sentiment below the wreath, again with the black Archival.

I finished by adding a black mount and attaching it to a 6×6 card blank.

This is a great palette of colours from CAS C&C – how will you use them?
