Clarity Craft Club lookback – grungy heart stencil

Hello crafty friends – here I am with another dip back into Clarity’s Craft Club, having now reached #92 the ‘grungy heart stencil’ from January 2022. A friend wanted a birthday card for her granddaughter and I decided to go with the delicious colours at Seize the Birthday and am also going to share it with AAA Birthday (I do love these colours!)

The first step was to attach the stencil to a square of white card and run it through my embossing machine – I love doing this as it gives the stencil image that bit more definition. I then used Clarity’s spot-on sponges to add ‘picked raspberry’ and ‘twisted citron’ Distress Oxides through the stencil.

I had thought about doodling around the edge of the heart but decided I really didn’t need it. Instead I stamped ‘Love’ (one of Clarity’s A6 ‘feel good words’ two-way overlay stamps) just using the infill with Versafine Clair black ink, then added the additional words underneath. I mounted the topper on a layer of pink card and attached it to a 7×7 card blank.

Thanks for dropping in. We’ve had a busy weekend at a friend’s wedding – lots of love and kisses being shared around!
