henna peacock

I’ve been having another play with some of the new henna design stamps from ClarityCrafts, this time using ‘Tina’s happy anniversary henna’ set. I took the layout from the sketch at CAS Colours & Sketches and picked up the middle row of any colour, free option & sentiment from TicTacToe‘s grid

I started with a piece of Clarity’s Theuva smooth white card, trimmed to fit a 5×7 card blank, and masked off a strip using low tack tape (I also tucked a bit of scrap paper under the inner piece of tape so the rest of the card was completely covered). I blended ‘chipped sapphire’, evergreen bough’ and ‘peacock feathers’ (obviously!) Distress Oxides across the strip of card, then stamped the floral swirl from the set across the inked area using ‘evergreen bough’ (before I removed the tape).

I added the peacock across the blended strip using black Versafine Clari ink and tucked the sentiment underneath him. A quick run of a black Sharpie around the card edges before attaching it to the card blank and that was it!

Well, after a quick burst of sunshine yesterday afternoon, the grey rainy skies have returned here. Oobviously a sign to stay indoors and craft, but instead I’ve been in central London for meetings!

  1. Love it – and that Peacock is too cute! I too ordered this Henna set – after watching Barbara show examples of cards with the other sets on a Moment of Clarity, I regret not ordering others! Live and Learn – maybe next time. Shipping is a bit pricy for the US folks, so I will have to bide my time. Thanks for joining us at CC&S
