Hello there! I seem to be on a bit a of a roll with stencilling at the moment and picked out ClarityCrafts’ ‘winter tree aperture’ stencil for the main part of today’s card together with a couple of their ‘wee’ stamps, the boy and the dog. I picked up the colours from Hand Stamped Sentiments, together with the themes from Time Out and AAA cards.

I started with the tree stencil, attaching it to a piece of Clarity’s 7×7 stencil card, and brushed ‘mowed lawn’, ‘peacock feathers’ & ‘festive berries’ Distress Oxide through it, then added the little boy and the dog either side of the tree trunk.

At this point, the tree looked very stark against the blended ink, so I shaded it with grey poloychromo pencils, adding a shadow line around it as well with the darkest grey.

I trimmed the card down slightly, ran a Sharpie around the edges and attached it to a 7×7 card blank. One of the KISS word stickers finished it off.

This pair look like they’re ready for the school summer holidays and lazy days! I think the pup might have a bit of a wait for any walks or games, though – I remember my son spending one holiday reading The Lord of The Rings trilogy and barely moving for several days!!
