Welcome to my crafty blog and a nice and simple stencilled background today. I needed a card for a colleague who’s just got a new job so decided to use ClarityCraft’s bubbles burst stencil and the colours from their new place’s logo for a quick card. I picked up the colourful circles theme from Inspired by and the rainbow of shades worked perfectly for Addicted to CAS

So all I needed to do was attached the stencil to a square of white card and use a brush to blend the five colours through it. I masked off the largest circle at the bottom using low tack tape and then went with Distress Oxides in ‘chipped sapphire’, ‘picked raspberry’, ‘ripe persimmon’, ‘mustard seed’ & ‘mowed lawn’, working from the bottom up.

I just ran a black Sharpie around the card edges, attached it to a 6×6 card blank and finished with one of the KISS word stickers.

I do love blending inks through stencils or masks (you may have noticed!) – it’s so easy to get some fabulous results without too much effort, which exactly fits with my work ethic!
