Claritystamp craft club lookback – wicker texture

Heoo there! Well, it’s Sunday again so back into Claritystamp’s Craft Club, this time to May 2021 and the ‘wicker texture’ abstract stamp. This is such a great background and I thought it would work for the current layout at Freshly Made Sketches, together with the colours from Just Add Ink

I started by cutting a mask from Clarity’s masking sheet using a neested rectangle die. I lined it up on a piece of white card, then stamped the wicker image through it having blended ‘iced spruce’ & ‘chipped sapphire’ Distress Oxides onto the stamp. I used the sponges to drag the ink in from the edge of the mask as well before removing it, then repeated the process to reate the other two rectangles.

I edged each stamped rectangle wiht a black Micron pen, then stamped the tall squiggle from the ‘doodleology heart’ stamp set in black Archival. I masked off the lower edge of the bottom rectangle with low tack tape so I could adjust the length of the squiggle for the second one.

I stamped the top part of the squiggle twice onto a scrap piece of card and coloured them in with the ‘chipped saphhire’, ‘iced spruce’ and a Stampin’ Up! Write marker in ‘fresh freesia’. I fussy cut them and glued them onto the card over the stamped images.

I attached the card topper to a 5×7 card blank and finished with one of Clarity’s word stickers.

I really like the graphic style of this – what do you think?
