Hello and welcome to my crafty blog. Today’s card features the ‘plentiful plants’ stamps and dies from Stampin’ Up!, inspired by Joanne’s sketch over at The Paper Players. I rotated the layout for my card (hope that’s OK, Joanne!) and used the colours from Just Add Ink‘s inspiration photo.
I started by rubbing ‘pumice stone’ Distress Oxide across SU’s ‘pinewood planks’ embossing folder, and then ran the bottom edge of a square of white card through it. I attached that to a 6×6 card blank.
I stamped and die cut three of the pots from the ‘plentiful plants’, together with a selection of leaves. I used Distress Oxides in ‘stormy sky’, mermaid lagoon’ & ‘walnut stain’ for the pots, with ‘iced spruce’ and ‘evergreen bough’ for the plants. I glued a set of leaves into each pot and then attached them to the card front with foam pads.
I finishe by stamping one of the sentiments from ‘art gallery’ onto a die cut banner and attached that below the pots, also on foam pads. The final touch was a few Glossies.
Thanks for dropping in. I had a great morning in an online class with Joanne James (who’s hosting this week’s Paper Players challenge) – there’ll be more inspiration from that over the coming days!
