snowflake peace

Hello crafty friends. Well I’m trying to keep up with my ambition to make a few Christmas cards each month, so it’s not such a rush in the autumn. I’m probably not making as much progress with that as I’d hoped, so today’s card takes me one step further. I’ve used Claritystamp’s ‘nativity miniatures’ stamp set, thanks to the inspiration of ‘snowflake’ from Addicted to CAS. I’ve added Less is More‘s ‘just one word’, and will also be sharing this over at Merry Little Christmas where the theme is ‘anything goes’.

I started by scribbling some ink onto a clear stamp handle (I used Stampin’ Up!’s Write markers in ‘bermuda bay’ and ‘coastal cabana’), then lightly spritzed it with water and stamped it onto the front of an A6 card blank.

I dried the ink thoroughly with my heat gun and rubbed the card front with an antistatic pad. I then stamped the three snowflakes from Clarity’s ‘nativity miniatures’ with WOW’s clear ink and heat embossed them with superfine white powder.

I finished by adding one of Clarity’s word stickers below the image.

That feels like such an appropriate sentiment – so many are praying for peace now, not just at Christmas.
