autumn birthday

Welcome to my crafty blog – another day, another birthday card! More autumn leaves, this time using Julie Hickey’s ‘floral frames’ stamp set. Less is More have a new challenge of an autumnal one layer, which I paired with the colours from The Card Concept

I started with an A6 card blank and stamped the leafy frame four times down the left hand side.

I then used a waterbrush and Distress Oxides to colour in the images – ‘pumice stone’ for the background area and then blended ‘walnut stain’, ‘mowed lawn’ and ‘mustard seed’ onto the leaves for an autumny feel.

I finished by stamping the sentiment directly onto the card, using the same ‘watering can’ Archival ink as for the frames.

Thanks for dropping in. There are some beautiful autumn leaves in the trees around my garden, which looked glorious in the sunshine this afternoon.
