Welcome to my crafty blog. Just a quick card to share with you today using Claritystamp’s ‘chinese lantern floral spray’ stamp set and the colours from this week’s challenge at The Paper Players
Now I’m really sorry, but I forgot to take all my usual step-by-step photos for this one. I started with Clarity’s large square backdrop stamp and sponged Distress Oxides onto it – I used ‘dried marigold’ (instead of pale papaya) and ‘chipped sapphire’ as my 4th colours from The Paper Players’ palette. I then stamped the chinese lantern spray in ‘potting soil’ Archival ink and used the small individual stamps in the set to colour the lanterns with ‘ripe persimmon’ and ‘walnut stain’ for the leaves.
I trimmed the stencil card to fit on a 6×6 card blank and finished with one of Clarity’s line sentiments, which I also stamped in the ‘potting soil’ Archival.
Did you know that the chinese lantern (physalis, to give it it’s proper name) symbolises good health and protection? That made me think it was perfect for a get well card.
