Welcome to my crafty blog and the next in my Sunday journey back through Claritystamp’s new design club. I’m now up to July 2015, which was this sweet elephant heart. I have to confess that I hadn’t used this stamp since I got it, but thought it would make a great wedding or engagement card.
I started with a piece of the ‘Indian Summer’ designer card (obviously appropriate as these could well be Asian elephants…!) and stamped the elephants in ‘watering can’ Archival ink. I then cut a mask from a sticky note to cover them up, so that I could sponge a little ‘black soot’ Distress Oxide’ around them to give the background more depth.

I then stamped the banners that co-ordinate with Clarity’s ‘letterbox’ stamps onto cream card and cut them out. I added ‘love’ onto the banners with the ‘letterbox alphabet’ stamps and glued them onto the designer card.

I mounted the designer card onto a piece of purple cardstock and then attached that to a 5×7 card blank. To finish, I stamped ‘congratulations’ from Clarity’s ‘essential sentiments’ set alongside the elephants.

Thanks for dropping in. I’m sharing this card over at TGIF challenges, as it was inspired by this week’s theme.
