I’ve got something a bit different to share with you today – I don’t normally leave my stamped images in black and white but I’ve used the challenge over at Global Design Project where this week’s project is to CASE (copy and selectively edit) the card designed by Emma. Part of my editing of the card was to use the colours from this week’s challenge at The Paper Players

I stamped with a strip of white card and stamped different parts of the sentiments from Julie Hickey’s ‘mandala’ set down it, using Distress Oxides in ‘picked raspberry’, ‘salvaged patina’ and ‘mowed lawn’. That sounds a bit more simple than it was! I only wanted half of each sentiment, so masked the stamp with low tack tape before inking it each time. ‘wishes’ was also a bit shorter than the other words so, once done, I went back over each of those, using masking tape to frame the missing part and then dabbed more of the ‘mowed lawn’ on with a sponge.

I then masked off a very narrow border on a 6×6 card blank and stamped the mandala using black Archival ink. I started with the central one and then added the others around the edge.

I finished by attaching the stamped strip down the left side of the card, and added a few Glossies in pink, blue & green onto the dots around the mandalas.
