Welcome to my crafty blog. I’m back with another sympathy card today (replenishing my stock which is sadly depleted). I’ve gone for a very simple design, keeping it really stripped back, inspired by this week’s theme over at TGIF Challenges http://www.tgifchallenges.blogspot.com

I’ve used the ‘Poppies’ unmounted clear stamp set from Claritystamp, and started by simply stamping the flowers and leaves in black Archival onto a rectangle of white card. I stamped the poppies first, and then positioned the leaves around them. I then mounted the white card onto a slightly larger black piece to frame it.

Next step was to attach the topper onto a 6×6 card blank. Because I’d used a rectangle it left me space to stamp the sentiment below it, directly onto the card blank.

Sometimes less is definitely more. I was pleased with this design, and might make some more in other colours, but keeping each card monochrome.

So pretty! I love B&W and I love CAS, so this is a win-win!
