Hello and welcome to my little crafty blog. I’m sharing a card that was inspired from a recent online class I did with the brilliant Marion Emberson from Sugar & Spice Crafts https://www.sugarandspicecrafts.co.uk/

I decided to use the template from this week’s challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches https://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/

I used the ‘Fresh Florals’ stamp set by Julie Hickey to stamp the background. As I wanted to overlay the stamps, I cut a couple of masks for the two larger flowers, using a great repositionable mask material from Claritystamp. Once you’ve cut this, you can use it multiple times – just store the mask on some copy paper (or the waxed paper it comes on) with your stamp set

I masked off a triangle on a 5×7 card blank by taking masking tape diagonally across the card front, and then stamped the various flowers & leaves from the set within the triangle to fill it, using Archival ink in ‘watering can’. I masked the two large flowers so the smaller ones and leaves. would appear to be behind them

I then turned the card around, repositioned the masking tape and filled the opposite triangle with flowers & leaves on the bottom part of the card

I then covered an off-cut of white card with clear ink and Wow ‘Vintage Peacock’ embossing powder, and then cut out the letters for ‘happy’ using Julie Hickey’s upper case alphabet dies. I stamped the word ‘birthday’ using one of the ‘Art Nouveau sentiments’ from Claritystamp, and embossed that with the Vintage Peacock as well. Finally, I fixed the letters across the middle of the card using Pinflair glue
