CAS Colours & Sketches 534 – colours

Hello there! It’s time for our new challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches and Rachel’s given us a palette of lovely soft tones. I haven’t played with Clarity‘s ‘butterfly wreath’ A6 set for some time so thought it was due an outing, not least thanks to the inspo list at Festive Friday (I went with frame, thinking of you & insects) and the wreath in Hand Stamped Sentiments‘ moodboard.

I started with a piece of card cut to fit a 6×6 card blank and used a circle embedder to create a frame on it. I stamped the wreath into the centre of the circle with black Archival ink and coloured the images with Pergaliner pencils, picking up the tones nearest to the challenge colours. I then stamped the two butterflies onto a piece of scrap card, coloured them with the two green shades and fussy cut them, before gluing them onto the wreath.

I added a mount of pale green card and attached it to the card blank, then added the sentiment from the ‘spring tags & frames’ set.

So how have these lovely colours inspired you? Come on over to the CAS Colours & Sketches and play along with us!
